Research and campus life

The campus is a suburban one, about 85 acres according to public sources, with academic buildings, residential halls for male and female students, a library, a medical centre, a central mosque and university transport. The university also has a veterinary teaching hospital and a central laboratory.

Because it lies 13 kilometres from Dinajpur town, most students live in the halls or in rented rooms nearby, and the transport service connects the campus to the town. Students who want a city environment should know that daily life here is campus-centred.

Student numbers are large for a university of this age. The university reports about 11,200 students and nearly 390 teachers as of 2023, so a student looking at class size or hall seats should ask about the specific department.
