How the Ulkaa Edu Rank works

Overview

Asian University of Bangladesh (AUB) is a private university in Dhaka, set up in 1996 under the Private University Act 1992. Its permanent campus is in Ashulia, on the northern side of the capital. It offers a compact list of programmes in business, computing, economics, English and the social sciences, at bachelor's and master's level.

Ulkaa Edu Rank 2027 places AUB in the 51-75 band, with a national position of 63. That position is computed from the published methodology (version 2027.1), and indicator coverage is 100%, the highest possible, so every indicator had data. Within the Dhaka division it is listed in the 31-40 band.

AUB has no QS or Times Higher Education world or Asia entry in Ulkaa's data, so there are no external rankings to compare with.

AUB was established on 4 January 1996, making it one of the earlier private universities in the country. It was inaugurated by the then minister for water resources, with the chairman of the University Grants Commission attending as special guest. The founder was Abul Hasan M. Sadeq. The Chancellor is the President of Bangladesh, as at every university of this kind.
